I just watched this documentary called 14 Women. It’s about the 14 women who served in the U.S. Senate in 2004. It was thoroughly entertaining. And who knew that Blanche Lincoln, the senator from Arkansas, was the nicest person in America. Seriously, she was the shining star of this documentary. It was clear that she made time for the cameras and pretty much everything out of her mouth was sweet, without being sickening, smart, kind, generous, funny, and – wait for it – normal. While it may seem completely impossible that one can be a U.S. Senator and completely down to earth, Sen. Lincoln seems to pull it off.
And now I may be in love. Like stalker-ish love.
But as the credits rolled, I realized what happened. That, possibly, a misrepresentation was afoot. You see, Sen. Lincoln’s sister, Mary Lambert, wrote and directed the documentary. Ah ha! There’s no way she’s that amazing… I think.
